E-mail: sschrier@att.net I enjoyed your vocal persona this afternoon during the premiere of David Briggs composition, "Seasons". Ok, it's not Mozart or Wagner but it was nonetheless pleasantly accessible. Seeing you in concert as yourself was fun, a pleasant contrast to some of the more extreme personas you've created for the European operas. Then again maybe you're like this only on weekends? Whatever. Good to learn you're sharing your performance gifts with the next generation of vocal students via master classes at major universities. All the best.

From: Kalamazoo, MI
E-mail: G1st@aol.com Dear Susan:
The shared experience of being able to sing with you in the 3/28 KSO concert was the thrill of a lifetime. Beethoven's 9th Symphony is a grandiose and uplifting work. Your "beautiful clarion voice," according to Dr. Gianakaris, contributed to elevate our choral efforts. to make it indeed an Ode to Joy! The joint efforts of Dr. Baas and Dr. Schrock in preparing the WMU Grand Chorus for the concert paid great dividends. "The Ninth - particularly its fourth choral movement - emerged transcendent, confirmed by a roaring ovation."
What a fabulous experience!
Thanks, Susan!
Looking forward to another time!
Gerhard & Marianne
