We heard you sing at a private party in the Hafenklub in Hamburg and loved your (short) performance. Hope to be able to go and see/hear you more

When you sang at church this summer you really made this "old man cry". I have heard you several times when you were in town (once in Judy's home singing a wonderful duet), but there is really something about your voice in that space. Thank you for being so generous with your talent when you are at "home".

Greetings all, Susan called in a panic saying that her guest book had been spammed. Indeed it was. I removed the very offending comments and links and completely re-vamped the way comments are placed in the guest book. So please put up with the extra security of having to put a number in. You get the extra security that your e-mail address is NOT visible to spam robots. I believe this is a safer system for all concerned. I re-posted most of the legitimate comments in descending order, so please don't be confused by the "official entry date". I did include the post dates in the body. Your webmaster Admin reply: It works and looks good. Thanks!

Datum: Montag, 21 Mai, 2007 um 19:54:09 Kommentar: Hello. I met you this past summer at WMU's seminar. By the way it was a pleasure to hear you speak, talk to you, hear you sing, etc... I just wanted to say thank you, because you inspired me to do what I love best. I love to sing. I first wanted to be a history teacher, but you helped me realize that I really wanted to be an opera singer. Music is truly my passion. I love opera. I've loved it since i was 2 or 3 years old when I first the movie, Amadeus. Of course professor Cowan helped, but you're the real inspiration. Thank you for your talents and your words this past summer at WMU music seminar. I will not be attending this year, because I go accepted to University of Michigan....So if you speak there again, I will not be able to tell you in person. Again, thank you!!!!! Admin reply: Dear Amanda!

Datum: Freitag, 6 April, 2007 um 12:12:43 Kommentar: Dear Susan Anthony - I was recently privileged to see and hear your Danae and Kaiserin in Dresden. I live in Galsgow Scotland and so the chances of hearing such performances are rare. I had read about your successes of course and just wanted to let you know that you equalled your outstanding reputation. Any chance of a signed photo as Danae from Dresden? Never mind if not. Thanks so much for helping to make the Straussfest in Dresden such a success. best for the future David.

Datum: Samstag, 16 Dezember, 2006 um 22:24:26 Kommentar: You are the best Wagner- and R. Strauss soprano now!!! I bought Your Arte Nova-CD in this week, it's fantastic. I haven't heard You before, becouse I live in Budapest, Hungary and, unfortunately there isn't a good musical life here! I sow Your Ariadne on video, You are great!!! I'm a young historian, my field is Second World War and this is the first year I teach in the university in Budapest. My hobby is classical music and I write articles in the Hungarian opera-magazine "Operaélet" (it means Operalife). I hope You will sing in Budapest, but I would see Your performances in Wienna, too. Have good Danae-performances and lot of great success!!! Best wishes: László Nagy

Datum: Montag, 16 Oktober, 2006 um 03:53:30 Kommentar: Miss Anthony: Thank you for your warm, rich, and exciting performances of my music (Psalms 57 & 131) on the recording you made with Dalton Baldwin, "Exaltation: Sacred Songs of Women" on the GBGMusik label. I am extremely fortunate to have had you make the recording. Thank you for the great beauty you brought to the songs. Incidentally, my paternal grandmother's name was Anthony. She, Anna Anthony later Sholtis, was a Czechoslavik immigrant arriving sometime around 1903. The story I heard is that possibly a niece of hers was a concert pianist. The families settled around Pittsburgh. One of Anna's brothers had a crystal-cutting shop in Glassport. Might we possibly be related? Mary Sutherland msongmaker@sbcglobal.net
